Room 601 "HIMEAKANE"... The sunset is spectacular.
The rooms on the west side are named Himeakane, and they offer views that begin with the Five Peaks of Northern Shinshu and extend to the Northern Alps. The name was chosen to evoke the image of the crimson sky at sunset.
Room 602 "Chikusenkyo" ... Overlooking Shiga Mountain
The rooms on the east side are named Chikusenkyo, after the studio of Kodama Katei, a painter whom Shibu Onsen is proud of (located directly behind our inn). From here, you can see the mountains of Shiga Kogen, including Mt. Shiga.
A 2-night, 3-day trip is recommended.
