During my university years: I was afraid of people. I would cry or panic in front of others.

4. During that time, I got a job at Sakaeya and started keeping a diary.

5. By writing down my daily goals and recording the things people have done for me or the troubles I have caused them that day, I am reminded each day that I am not living alone, but that I am being helped and forgiven.

6. A littleI've come to want to live my life in a way that allows me to give back to the people around me.

7. People live by being supported by others. It's when we feel like we're living alone that we become lonely. I believe life is a daily cycle of support and forgiveness.

Having never been praised since childhood, I dropped out of high school and became a recluse for five years. I also repeatedly engaged in self-harm... and eventually developed depression.

9. Amidst all this, she came to Sakaeya for training and is now studying high school subjects again at a free school, striving to obtain a high school diploma.

10. When I came to Sakaeya, what supported me was the more than 600 postcards I received from my colleagues.

11. I realized that it's okay for me to exist.

12. I can't do anything on my own, but with the support of my friends, I can. And eventually, I was entrusted with decorating the entire building.

13. And then, my depression began to improve. Now I no longer need to take the six different medications I used to take, and I am completely cured.

14. Everyone has value. If we can make the most of each individual's unique qualities, people can shine.

There were countless times when things seemed hopeless. Even after becoming president, I faced a management crisis.

16. I've only ever thought about things in my head, and I haven't actually seen the situation firsthand or made any changes.

17. I also start cleaning the site diligently.

18. Then the employees also came forward to volunteer!

19. I had a place where I belonged. That's why I want to create a place where many people belong!

20. I realized that becoming someone who is supported by others is the key to happiness!
